A small shop, a glass display and a conviction that Lodwar deserved better cakes and fresh bakery products. Version 1 opened in August 2019.
Born in the North. Built one version at a time.
Stark’s Cake House was established in Lodwar in August 2019. The name is a playful nod to House Stark — fitting for a bakery born in Kenya’s North. Our director and pastry chef carries the affectionate brand title “Queen of the North”.
COVID YEARS · VERSION 2
We adapted.
During COVID the business changed, survived and kept serving. The red interior became the face of Stark’s Version 2.
VERSION 3
The Stark’s customers know today.
More space, more products, more celebration cakes, a stronger dine-in experience and a growing customer base across Turkana.
NOW · VERSION 4
The North keeps moving. So do we.
Website ordering, Cake Builder, integrated M-Pesa, occasion campaigns and Stark’s Business OS now connect the customer experience to the bakery operation behind it.
